If it is not possible to give an objective answer to the purpose of life, what is the point of living?
As in the case of the perfect couple, I don't think there is an objective answer to the purpose of life, but a subjective one which is changing when we are growing old. And, back to perfection (perfection by itself is not achievable but worthy of being pursued), I think the purpose in life is to seek what that purpose is, more than finding and achieving it.
Anyway, I think a generic answer that each one can adjust to their taste would be that the purpose in life is to do things that make me happy and in the making to contribute to some degree to the happiness of people I care.
