¿Qué razones se le ocurren para que a alguien no le guste el fútbol como espectáculo?

De pronto la falta de goles. A diferencia de otros deportes como el baloncesto donde pueden darse más de 20 canastas por partido, en el fútbol a duras penas se dan tres o cuatro por partido, yéndole bien. Eso da la impresión de que durante muchos minutos "no pasa nada". Además el rentado nacional es tan carente de vistosidad y de goles que los muy fanáticos deben refugiarse en equipos argentinos, españoles o ingleses para tener motivos de alegría.

What reasons can you think of to explain why somebody might no like football as a show?

Perhaps the lack of goals. Unlike other sports such as basketball where you can see more than 20 goals per match, in football you hardly can see three or four goals per match, doing well. That gives the impression that during too much minutes there is "nothing happening". In addition, the domestic tournament is so lack of nice moves and goals that those too fanatic about soccer must seek refuge in Argentinian, Spaniard or English football teams to have something to feel happy about.
